Version 3.2 of the ASTC Encoder has been released here. Adaptive Scalable Texture Compression (ASTC) is a texture compression standard developed by Arm and AMD. Both OpenGL and Vulkan support ASTC. Read more about ASTC here.

Today saw the first look at Epic's new MetaHuman Creator browser-based app. MetaHuman Creator dramatically reduces the time required to create convincing digital humans. Artists and Developers will be able to save their creations to file and import it into Unreal Engine. Read more here.

A good place to start learning Vulkan is with the LunarG Vulkan SDK. The SDK is available for all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android). Once you have the SDK, work your way through the Vulkan Samples Tutorials. These tutorials will provide you with a good overview of how Vulkan works.
