The OpenGL 3.1 Per-Fragment Directional Lighting Demo has been added to the demos section. This is the first of the existing GLSL demos that has been converted to OpenGL 3.1 and makes use of the OpenGL 3 Framework. Read more.

We are in the process of converting all of our OpenGL 2 demos to OpenGL 3. The converted demos use the OpenGL 3 Framework. You can familiarize yourself with the OpenGL 3 Framework by checking out the OpenGL 3 Hello World Demo.

An updated version of the OpenGL 3 Hello World Demo has been added to the demos section. This new version includes initial OpenGL 3.2 support. Read more.

The OpenGL 3 Hello World Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo shows you the basics of writing an application using OpenGL 3.1 or a forward compatible OpenGL 3.0 rendering context. For our first real OpenGL 3 demo, we will return to the basics and show you how to draw a 2D textured rectangle onto the screen. Read more.

26 July 2009.
The OpenGL GDI+ Demo has been added to the source section. This demo shows you how to use GDI+ to load BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and TIF image files and then using them as textures in OpenGL. Read more.

6 July 2009.
The latest version of the OpenGL 3 Framework has been added to the source section. This update contains the latest version of the framework as used by the upcoming OpenGL 3 demos. Read more.

4 July 2009.
An updated version of the Bitmap class has been added to the source section. The Bitmap class now fully supports saving to BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TGA, and TIF image file formats. Also the class' public interface has changed a bit. Read more.

A new version of the Bitmap class has been added to the source section. This update uses GDI+ to import image files into the Bitmap class. The supported image file formats now includes: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and TGA. Read more.

5 June 2009.
A new version of the OpenGL 3 Framework has been added to the source section. This update contains bug fixes only and does not introduce any new features. Read more.

31 May 2009.
OpenGL 3 demos are coming soon. We are using a new object oriented application framework for these new demos. The framework is available in the source section. Read more.

The XNA 3.0 Earth Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo shows how several commonly used effects can be combined to render the planet Earth. Read more.

The OpenGL 3.0 Context Creation Demo has been renamed to the OpenGL 3.1 Content Creation Demo. A new version has been uploaded to the demos section. This updated version now tries to create an OpenGL 3.1 rendering context when it is available. As a fall back it will create an OpenGL 3.0 rendering context. Read more.

An updated version of the 3D Math Library has been uploaded to the source section. This update adds new methods to create mirror/reflection matrices. Read more.

2 February 2009.
An updated version of the XNA 3.0 First Person Camera Demo has been added to the demos section. This update contains bug fixes only and adds no new features to the FirstPersonCamera class. Read more.

3 January 2009.
The OpenGL 3.0 Context Creation Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo shows you how to create a forward compatible OpenGL 3.0 rendering context for the Microsoft Windows environment. You will need OpenGL 3.0 drivers to run this demo. Specifically the driver must support the WGL_ARB_create_context extension. Read more.
